6 So- Easy Ways To Save MONEY

Money? I think everyone have their own way to save money. But, did your saving plan work on you? If it does, below is some of the way that might help you save even more! Lets digest does tips one by one, maybe in 1 year time you will improve your saving skills!

1. Make It Automatic
Set up a specific percentage of your salary to be automatically deposited into a high- interest online savings account so you're less likely to touch it. It's a fool- proof way to make sure your savings stay on track and continue to build over the year.
Alyssa Say: Well, this tips is very useful. I prefer setting my own goals every month and keep it by myself (In the bank, of course). I bank in my own money every month in the bank that i created especially for saving. But remember, you have to be disciplined to do this.

2. Buy "NOTHING NEW" Month
It's exactly what the name says. Give it a go, and depending on your current shopping habits, this has the potential to save you around RM1,000 a month.
Alyssa Say: NOTHING NEW? Well, this is super hard for me. I haven't try it yet. But by imagining it, I think i will save up to RM500 a month since I'm not a shopaholic. For me, nothing new means no trying any new products or no more buying new outfit for that particular month. Stick on the thing that you need, not the thing that you want.

3. Pump Tyres

Pump Tyres? What does it have to do with saving money? Did you know that ensuring your tyres are properly inflated helps with petrol mileage? If they are deflated, you can actually lose up to five percent in fuel.
Alyssa Say: I have heard about it before. But i have no idea how to pump my own car tyres. But people said its easier than doing the bicycle tyres. Anyway, maybe that answer my question why my fiancee always make sure our car tyres is inflated properly. Good Job Mr Yong!

4. Avoid Driving In Peak Hour

Driving at the busiest ties of the day (on your way to work and o your way home) can result in you using a quarter of your tank for each hour that you spend in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Alyssa Say: This is true. I agree with this tips 101%. No doubt!

5. Turn Off The Plug
Switch off electrical items at the power points when you're not using them. "You can save up to RM400 a year by doing this, maybe more."
Alyssa Say: This thing should be applied. Especially in using air- conditioning. I know people who always turn on their air- conditioning in the room just to keep the room extra chilly. I always do that in a hotel room. But, no matter where you are, I don't think its necessary to do that. Because it will surely harm the mother nature. Try not to do that as a habit, it will not only save the mother nature. It will also help you in saving lots of money!! $$$$$

6. Shop To A List
Shop to a list, buy only what you need, use everything you have and be creative with your leftovers, like making them into lunch. Also, stick your receipt up on the fridge as a reminder to eat what you bought, and once you finished a food item, cross t off.
Alyssa Say: From all the 6 tips above. I think this is the most useful tips here. Especially the tips where they ask you to stick the receipt on your fridge to remind you things that you already bought. Forgetting things that i already bought always happen to me, and once i found out that i have those things. It is already too late since it already reach their expiry date. Anddd.. YES. It's a waste of money.

Well, I hope those tips above do help you making your saving even better. Trust me, just by applying those simple tips above, IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENT. Happy Trying!

Labuan Trip

Anybody that is planning to get to Labuan from Kota Kinabalu, here is some tips that I experience.

First of all, if you are planning on a 1 day trip, wake up early so you can finish your tour in 1 day. There is 2 choices that you have, whether your planning to go Labuan through Menumbok Ferry Terminal or Jesselton Point. I choose Menumbok Ferry Terminal, and the journey takes me 3 hour from Kota Kinabalu to Menumbok. You can stop by at Papar Town to have your breakfast. Me and Yong choose Sang Nyuk Mee for breakfast.

After we reach the Menumbok Ferry Terminal, we park our car at the nearby carpark located at the side road. Don't be suprised when U see there is some houses that owned lots of car. They actually made their house property as a parking area for those people who wanted to go Labuan and not planning to bring their car along. So it is much easier. 1 day parking fee is also cheap, the owner of the house only charge us for RM5 and we are quite happy with the price.

Me and Yong decided to use a speedboat to get to Labuan since the time schedule is much more flexible than using the ferry. And it is also pretty fast. The Speedboat fee is only RM7.50 per head. And it takes us less than 20 minute to reach our destination that is Labuan. For a first timer like me, don't worry about missing the speedboat, the speedboat terminal will announce  your boat number before departing to Labuan. So make sure you listen to the announcement. It usually doesn't take long after you bought the ticket. Below is my ticket picture. Our boat number is ML15.

We arrive at Labuan at 11.35am. Yong decide to rent a car so it is easier for both of us to go around the island. The car rental fee in Labuan is super cheap. If you are planning to rent a simple car like Perodua Viva, it will only cost you RM60. Perodua Axia is RM90. We decided to rent for a better car which is Honda City since it will only cost us RM100 per day. Don't forget to request a Map from the car rental counter. For me, the map does not really help much since it doesn't tell you where you currently are. But if you can find a map where it state "YOU ARE HERE", maybe it will help more.

Our first destination is Financial Park. I think it is the only mall that Labuan had. I'm not really sure, but do tell me if i were wrong. In Financial Park you will found few duty free shop like Sky Park. That kind of place that people are searching to buy liquor, cigarette and most commonly chocolate. After going around the mall, both of us decided to go for our lunch. But we decided to go somewhere else, to find something different rather than the ordinary KFC.

Before going for our lunch, which both of us still don't know where to go. We decided to search for a petrol station nearby. I admit that it is quite difficult to search for the petrol station. Maybe because I am very bad with map. So we decided to just look around for signboard and we did found the petrol station after a few hard work. Anybody that is planning to search for any place, I suggest that you look for the signboard at the side road. A lot of shop and stall is closed on that day, maybe because it is on Sunday.

Drink Your Greens

Here is the answer to your question regarding Green Juice
Green Juices, in particular, are very potent as they contain highly concentrated nutrients. "Green Juice are packed with chlorophyll, which metabolizes and purifies oxygen in the bloodstream, and at the same time cleanses the kidneys, liver and urinary system. Green Juices also stimulate the peristaltic wave in the intestines and get your bowls moving ".

If you have a sweet tooth, the green juice may be an acquired taste, but it will grow on you. Using fresh, good quality produce and experimenting with flavors can make green juice one of the easiest  ways for you to stay hydrated and enjoy increased vitality.

Here is the Top 5 Ingredients
1. Leafy Greens... Loaded with calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium for strong bones.

2. Cucumber... Rich in silicon and sulphur for healthy hair and nails.

3. Celery... Contains organic sodium that boosts detoxification.

4. Parsley... Chock- full of calcium and vitamin C that soothes the adrenal glands.

5. Beetroot... High in natural chlorine that cleanses the liver, kidneys and gallbladder.

Alyssa Says;
Above are some of the answer that my friends and family had been asking. Trust me, it is not as disgusting as it sounds like. It is actually very tasty and healthy. I am trying to make myself a green juice everyday when i go to work. I usually drink it for my lunch so that i don't have to take my lunch. If you wanna make you green juice tastier, add up some fruits like green apple or berrys. And cucumber really helps in making your green juice juicier. Happy trying! do share your green juice recipe with me, i would love to try it!

My 3 Day Green Juice Challenge (Day 1)

I have posted in my Facebook yesterday about challenging myself for 3 days Green Juice challenge which I only can drink Green Juice or any healthy juice for 3 days. And today is my first day. I know it will be super hard for me especially the part where i have to wake up super early in the morning to prepare the juice. I am lucky enough i have my fiancee to buy those vegetable for me and even help me wash the juicer for me this morning.

Today I have made the super simple Green Juice for me to have for my breakfast and lunch. Will make another juice for my dinner today. I don't have enough ingredient to make my Green juice this morning, but I carry on with it because I think it is fine without it.

My Green Juice Ingredient for day 1

1. 2 Cucumber (I peeled it since I'm not using the organic cucumber)
2. 4 Aus Cellery
3. 2 Apple (For the sweet and sour taste)
4. Lemon (I cant find one,so i make it without it.)

I only use 3 ingredient for my green juice due to no lemon was found yesterday. For a beginner like me, this juice is fine. Add some ginger if u all like it. Left a comment below if you have any question. See you in my next post!

The outcome of my green Juice!
